Charlie has 30 plus years of involvement and experience within the waste and resources sector and is currently the Service Manager for the Waste Partnership at Dundee City Council which is an innovative partnership between Dundee City and Angus Councils for the treatment and disposal of their residual waste.
As part of a varied and interesting career Charlie was previously the Head of Resource Management at Zero Waste Scotland where he overseen a number of initiatives with local authorities and the wider resource management community, as well as holding a number of other roles in the Industry.
Charlie is also a past Chair of the Chartered Institution of Waste Management Scottish Centre and is a founder member and trustee of the Scottish Waste Industry Training, Competency & Health (SWITCH) Forum.

Be Aware! Recently Albion have been faced with new types of packaging which ‘claim’ to be fully recyclable. Some examples include:
- Steak packaging – composite cardboard
- Flavita Drink – plastic container with aluminium top
- Absolute Vodka – paper bottles
All the above products still contain plastic, although in some cases less plastic than before.
