A local from Cranhill in Glasgow has taken it upon himself to relocate the community bins so that he could place his new hot tub in the bin area.
During the week one of our hosts (Alasdair) was walking to work and he passed a row of bins all chained together to stop people stealing them!
A creative environmental charity called Hubbub based in London released a campaign back in 2016 called ‘pick a side’. The campaign aims to reduce the number of cigarettes being littered on the streets. Hubbub launched the Ballot Bin: the world’s first voting ashtray which ask the important questions in life. From one bin on Villiers Street in London asking smokers to pick Ronaldo or Messi, to almost 5,000 bins in 42 countries tackling litter by asking the important questions like – Barbie or Oppenheimer? 🚭
Waste on the moon! 96 bags of human waste have been left on the moon. Scientists are keen to bring this back to earth in the future to study the effects of the moon on the waste. Read more here. 🌙
