Bruce McLean has been actively involved in recycling of electrical and electronic equipment for over 25 years.
He is Group Managing Director of Optimum Eco Group, parent company of CCL North Ltd (specialising in secure data destruction, IT and WEEE recycling) and Restructa Ltd (leaders in TV and monitor recycling).
Prior to joining CCL in 2000 his career included design of Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDโs), Microchips and Automation Equipment.

Valencia Waste Management, the company which operates Viridorโs former landfill sites, has said it has started an investigation into a fire at its Dunbar site last week which lasted for four days .
Recent research by DEFRA and the Environment Agency identified waste upholstered domestic seating (WUDS) as containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) above the legal threshold limits. This means that WUDS cannot be sent to landfill must be incinerated to destroy or irreversibly transform the POPs content, in accordance with the requirements of the UK POPs Regulations.
